The Overall Winning Artists Category consists of the 10 Best Entries received from the 3 media categories of the Painting & Other Category, Photography & Digital Category and the 3 Dimensional Art categories.
The winning artists will now be featured on the Light Space & Time website for the month of December 2021 and thereafter, the artworks and links to the artist’s websites will remain online in the Light Space & Time Archives.
The overall winning artists’ category of the 3rd Annual "Primary Colors" Art Exhibition will receive extensive worldwide publicity and promotion. In addition, the overall winning artists will also receive extensive worldwide publicity in the form of email marketing, 550+ press release announcements, event announcement posts and social media marketing.
Winning artists will also have their art exhibition results posted and promoted on ArtJobs/ArtWeek. Artweek/Artjobs produces 800,000 page impressions per month, 280,000 website visitors per month and has 30,000 newsletter subscribers.

1st Place – Overall - John Jaster - "Boat Reflections”
John was born in Columbus Ohio, graduated from Ohio State and lived in Southern California for 30 years. Although John learned to draw and paint as a young boy, his degrees are in the computer science field. It wasn't until 2010, when his wife bought him a large easel and encouraged him to start painting again, that he began to take his art career seriously.
Since then John has been selected in over 130 gallery shows and juried contests, including the National Oil & Acrylic Painter's Society 2013 International On-line Exhibition and 2014 Best in America show.
John's Carousel Horse #1 was featured in the June 2014 issue the Artist's magazine Competition Spotlight, and he was featured in the 'Artists to Watch' section of the Southwest Art March 2016 edition.
John's acrylic painting have been included in AcrylicWorks Best of Acrylic Painting volumes 1-6+8 and his paintings have been voted FAV15% in Bold Brush on a number of occasions.

2nd Place – Overall - Winnie Chrzanowski - "Eye of the Storm”
When I retired from my job of 30 years in the defense industry, I traveled to Ethiopia and carried my Canon PowerShot with me everywhere I went. I knew how to use it on automatic and took some fair snapshots. Seemed good enough until our trip guide/photographer said "I can show you how to use that camera better." That was it; we traveled and shot. He talked and demonstrated; I listened and learned. I got home and bought a DSLR. The rest is history.
I enjoy taking photos and then seeing how to make a mundane subject look not so ordinary. Photography is a way for me to see the world with new eyes. It allows me to capture details and moments that are fleetingly experienced. With photography, I can freeze time. The photographic process makes me stop and think, makes me survey the area before I get behind the viewfinder, makes me look deeper into the subject matter at hand. Through photography, I’ve seen many new things – even in my neighborhood – and met many interesting people. Photography helps me keep my sanity in an ever-changing world.

3rd Place – Overall - Sunique Plante - "Saturated Fruit”
Sunique Plante is a 2d and 3d artists and wants to inspire others with her artwork. She has passion for fine art as well as film related artwork. Sunique is currently attending Graduate school at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) studying Visual Effects and has previously earned her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Animation at Lynn University.
The arts have positively influenced her life, for as long as she can remember. The feeling of being able to put the creative thoughts she has in her head onto another surface is fascinating. Art is an important part of her life and she can portray her own message through her artworks. No matter if it is visual arts, fashion, sculpture, animation or visual effects, Sunique is overly enthusiastic about creating.
She has completed 3D artwork, drawings, paintings, and animated clips from the basic principles of animation to full animated scene videos. The reason Sunique chose this specific career is because she has enjoyed animated movies so much as a child and wants to become one of the people that are able to make the movies/cartoons to make others happy. Visual arts gives her a way to help everyone through entertainment by bringing them joy, sadness, thrills, and chills while they watch her films. For Sunique to be able to inflict different emotions through her artwork, is the reason she feels that she was put on this Earth to give to others.

4th Place – Overall - Linda McCord - "A Look at the Future”
Linda McCord works in most of the two-dimensional mediums. She has used transparent watercolor for the series of her mother titled, “In the 90’s.” She wanted to show there is quality of life at that age. Her watercolor is slowly built up in many transparent layers. She has adapted a tedious resist method for her watercolors that she used in her silkscreens.
McCord had taken numerous awards in international exhibits and has had her paintings published in several books. She is a signature member of California Watercolor Association, Northwest Watercolor Society, Georgia Watercolor Society, and International Society of Acrylic Painters. Her work is in the collection of several art museums, churches, and numerous private collections. She taught painting and printmaking part-time at her local college and owned art galleries for the past ten years before retiring earlier this year. She is also a fashion designer, creating fashions from wool that she felts into wearable art.
More recently she is working on a new series of acrylic paintings titled, “Car Show” where she focuses on the abstract reflections on the surface and the intricate details in the motors. She always works in series of at least twenty paintings. Her work has been described as abstract realism.

5th Place – Overall - Natalie Wetzel - "Convergence”
Natalie Wetzel is a professional, international award winning artist, who lives in Normal, IL with her husband of nearly 30 years. They have four children together. Natalie holds a bachelor’s degree in fine art from Illinois State University. She is primarily a mixed media artist. She enjoys working from a smooth surface, like claybord, and prefers to work with encaustics, acrylics, and ink.
Currently, Woodwalk Gallery in Egg Harbor, WI, 3 Square Art located in Fort Collins, CO, and Main Gallery 404 in Bloomington, IL represent her work. Wetzel has also had several of her images published in a Chicago based magazine called "Vigoré" and her work chosen for the cover of a local government planning publication. Most recently, she was selected to be one of Mixtiles newest featured artists.
Wetzel finds great inspiration to create by observing the beauty found throughout all creation. Although she considers herself to be an abstract artist, she also enjoys incorporating identifiable subject matter into her work. She has found by doing so, more people can relate to and connect with her paintings.
Her work is process oriented. It involves layering materials in a way that causes colors to pop and adds depth and interest to each painting. She is most known the vivid colors that immediately capture the attention of her viewers.

6th Place – Overall - Cher Pruys - "Primary Play”
Cher Pruys was born in Regina. Over the years she lived in many places including Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Fort Frances, settling into her present home in Devlin, on the banks of the Rainy River with her husband Mark, 4 dogs and 2 cats.
By age three, Cher was seldom found without a drawing tool in hand. She worked in pencil, charcoal and ink over the years, until she picked up a paintbrush at the age of 35. Beginning with oil paints, she found her chosen mediums in acrylic, water color and gouache.
Although self-taught, her dedication and talent has seen her work juried into 152 International exhibits, as well as exhibits in numerous non-juried shows. She has won 140 awards for her work at the International Juried Exhibits.

7th Place – Overall - Susan Paradise-Burke - "Big Blue”
Susan Paradise-Burke is an award winning photographer and creative artist who uses composite techniques to reimagine her subject. She invites the viewer to create their own interpretation and feeling from every picture she creates.
Her continuing development as a photographer is the result of her artistic curiosity, self-study, and her travels. Her work has been accepted in numerous juried exhibitions, including the Cape Cod Art Association, Cotuit Center for the Arts, Creative Arts Center of Chatham, IMAGO Gallery, Portsmouth Arts Guild and Light, Space, & Time Online Art Gallery.
Susan is a juried artist-member of the Cape Cod Art Center, and is a Master Level member of the Cape Cod Camera Club.

8th Place – Overall - Kyler Pahang - "Pula”
Kyler Pahang is a Filipino artist based on Duwamish Land. His art is focused on empowering, decolonizing, and celebrating cultures. He wants to reconnect back to his roots and does so by researching precolonial traditions and creating artworks based upon said research. Pahang is encouraging others in doing the same by depicting aspects of his cultures others are not familiar with.
His body of work exhibits large mixed media paintings that depict the colonized in the same position as their colonizers in order to expand others’ views on overly exploited countries.
Pahang has a BA with Honors from the University of Washington. He is a Mary Gates Scholar and received the Hubs Directory award from his department. “Each year, a committee from the Husky Union Building (HUB) attends the BA and MA graduation exhibitions put on by the School of Arts. The committee then deliberates and selects a graduating student to receive the Director’s Award, which means that one or more works by that student are purchased for the Hub Permanent Art Collection.“- University of Washington

9th Place – Overall - Irina Tsypilova - "Milaya”
My work is a feeling of life. My emotions, sensations and feelings in pictures for other people. But, their feelings are also in my paintings. I like making up human stories with inanimate objects. This allows you to convey more vividly human feelings. Incredible combinations of things can help create a new explosion of feelings. A hot heart inside and a glass ball in the head, a volume velvet chair and a graphic crown. I like unusual combinations! Together they live a new life.
Everything connected with human life affects art. Bad and good, disgusting and sweet. Even if we think that some influences are not for the artist, they still leave an imprint in art. My process is a game. A game with stains, shapes and layers. Thousands of attempts. Sometimes I start working on one project, and in the end, I get a completely different one. The one I'm ready to stop at. But, first I have an idea.
I always use different styles in my work, like the graphics very much - my first works were monochrome. But, I love experiments and mix different techniques: collage, graphics, mosaic, and drawing, to get an interesting result. Each project is my experiment. Like any other artist, I try to make this world a better place, bring new emotions into it. I hope that will succeed.

"An award-winning, published photographer, Freddie B's Asperger's helps provide a special POV to the world he finds so much beauty in. His camera becomes his "voice" and where he is most comfortable sharing the beauty of the world and those within it. Through the lens of his camera, Freddie has the ability to fully express his vision and to "speak" through his stunning, oft-haunting images.

As someone with Asperger's Syndrome, I have always had difficulty and challenges with social communication so for me, photography through the years has been my "voice" - a medium for me to share the beauty of the world in my own unique way, and often, photography has been my "escape" and therapy when the challenges of my Asperger's becomes overwhelming.
Early on in my photographic journey, I was told by many photographers that I should focus on a specific photography genre. I tried to heed the advice but quickly realized I could not [and did not] want to contain my creativity and view of the world through the lens of my camera to one specific genre...I desire to capture the beauty of all that I saw and experienced in all things, be it fine art portraiture, nature, wildlife, landscapes, seascapes, etc.
I desire to have the viewers of my images, to the best that I can, experience and "feel" what I felt at the time I pressed the shutter button of my camera; anything less, for me, is unacceptable.
